Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Sievr API, dashboard, documentation, and related services (together, the "Service") operated by Applied Solutions Limited. By creating an account, generating an API key, or sending traffic to the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. The Service
Sievr is a developer API for detecting prompt injections and redacting personally identifiable information (PII) in text. You send text to the API; we return a verdict and a redacted copy.
The Service is provided as-is. We don't guarantee particular detection accuracy, latency, or uptime. Detection is statistical — false positives and false negatives are inherent. You are responsible for evaluating whether the Service is fit for your specific use case before relying on it in production.
3. Accounts and API keys
You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and for any activity that happens under them. If a key is leaked, revoke it from the dashboard and issue a new one. We are not liable for charges, leaks, or actions taken with a key you didn't properly safeguard.
One person or entity per account. Don't share credentials across legal entities.
4. Acceptable use
You won't:
- Use the Service to scan content you don't have the right to process.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise systematically extract our detection patterns or models.
- Resell the Service as-is (i.e., as a competing guardrails API) without a separate agreement. Building products on top is fine.
- Send content designed to deliberately probe, harm, or circumvent the Service rather than be classified by it.
- Use the Service for activities that violate applicable law in your jurisdiction or ours.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate this section, with or without notice.
5. Pricing, billing, and refunds
Free-tier accounts are capped at 1,000 scans per UTC month and don't require payment. Paid plans bill monthly via Stripe at the rate shown on the pricing section of our marketing site at the time you subscribed, plus metered overage for usage beyond your included allotment.
All charges are non-refundable except where required by law. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — your account stays paid through what you've already been invoiced for, then drops to the Free tier or fully closes depending on the cancellation type.
Plan changes (upgrade or downgrade) are pro-rated by Stripe. Upgrades charge the prorated difference immediately; downgrades credit toward the next invoice.
6. Your data, our data
Your input stays yours.Text you send to the Service is processed to produce a response and then discarded — we don't store the input text in our database. Operational logs and metadata about each request (timestamp, key ID, latency, verdict, character count) are kept for billing and abuse prevention. See the Privacy Policy for the specifics.
Our patterns and models are ours. The detection patterns, classifier model weights, and training data we use are our intellectual property and the property of our upstream licensors. Using the Service grants you no license to them beyond calling the API.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't commit to a contractual SLA at the current pricing tiers. If the Service is unavailable or degraded, your responsibility is to fail safe in your own application — usually by allowing requests through with a logged warning rather than blocking your end-users on our outage.
8. Disclaimers and liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPLIED SOLUTIONS LIMITED WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach, non-payment, or extended inactivity. On termination, we stop processing your requests and delete your account data within 90 days, subject to any retention required by law or for legitimate audit purposes.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on file at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, UK without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising out of these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Scotland, UK.
